The area is steeped in a rich historical legacy, where you can find award winning heritage centres in Cobh and Midleton, ancient castles, churches, museums, historic houses and gardens. In addition, walking tours are available around the historic town of Youghal and on the Titanic Trail in Cobh.

The magnificent Fota House and the remarkable Barryscourt Castle have both been recently restored and opened to the public. EAST CORK also abounds in local crafts and has its own dedicated Craft Trail. The performing and visual arts are well provided for at the Sirius Arts Centre.
